Custom Homebuilders' Solutions - aka CHS

CHS Remote is a sister company to the Custom Homebuilders’ Solutions software company. CHS Remote provides CHS Customers with the ability to use the CHS software remotely via a secure internet connection to the CHS program and to your data that is safely stored, backed up, and maintained on their servers.

This means that CHS Customers can use CHS from any location without installing and maintaining the CHS software. It also means you can have multiple users without maintaining an internal networking system.

There are many advantages to using CHS software via Remote. Some of them are:

· Work from home, while traveling, in the field, or in the office!

· Have multiple users WITHOUT purchasing networking equipment and maintaining a networking system.

· CHS Remote technicians handle the private, secure, and protected networking for you!

· CHS Remote technicians will handle installations, program maintenance, and backups for you!

· You receive the latest CHS updates without having to install them.

· Your outside accountants, bookkeepers, or project managers can work for you from another location.

· Much easier for CHS consultants and tech support staff to assist you remotely.

Using CHS via remote online requires the use of Microsoft’s Remote Desktop Connection (RDC) to access the remote service. It is a free program by Microsoft that can be easily accessed as follows:

1 - If you have Windows XP or Vista, the RDC should already be installed on your system. See the Remote User Guide available on our web site at www.CHSBuilderSoftware.com for information on finding the RDC and placing the icon on your desktop.

2 - If you have older operating systems, the RDC can be downloaded from Microsoft. See the Remote User Guide available on our web site at www.CHSBuilderSoftware.com for information on finding the RDC and placing the icon on your desktop.

3 - If you have a MacIntosh, see the Remote User Guide available on our web site at www.CHSBuilderSoftware.com for information on finding the RDC and placing the icon on your desktop.

SECURITY: Your data will be stored on our remote servers and IS NOT accessible to outsiders via the internet. You will use your internet connection with an ID and Password to log on to our servers to do your work. Other businesses or entities will NOT have access to your data. Your data will be regularly backed up and protected. You WILL be able to download your data every day to store on your own computer.

FEES for CHS Remote Services: Monthly per user fees are required to use the CHS Remote Services. There is a one time set up fee. See the Pricing Information on our web site to calculate what your monthly fees will be based on your user needs.

PRINTERS: Most printers will work with Microsoft’s Remote Desktop Connection, but there are a few the may not. If you are curious about whether you printer will work with remote services, please contact the CHS Remote technicians at 512-351-3081.
